This 3-hour live interactive course provides advanced clinical training in tailoring psychological interventions to individual client transdiagnostic characteristics, including cultural identity, explicit treatment preferences, reactance level, coping style, and stage of change readiness. Grounded in the extensive meta-analyses synthesized by the APA Interdivisional Task Force on Evidence-Based Relationships and Responsiveness, this program teaches psychologists how to systematically adapt experiential and somatic micro-interventions to match client-specific markers. Rather than applying a rigid, "one-size-fits-all" clinical protocol, participants learn to operationalize balance cultural humility with real-time relational attunement to maximize treatment adherence, reduce early dropouts, and enhance clinical outcomes.

The course utilizes an interactive, practice-oriented webinar format where they will evaluate case vignettes to identify client reactance styles (e.g., internalizing vs. externalizing) and assess stage-of-change indicators (e.g., precontemplation vs. action). Through guided role-play exercises, clinicians will practice shifting their instructional style from directively guided somatic tracking to collaborative, client-led relational exploration based on real-time client feedback and cultural preference indicators.

Target Audience: Licensed Psychologists, Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), and health service professionals in mental health.

Instructional Level: Intermediate to Advanced (Prerequisite: Master’s or Doctoral degree in a mental health field and active clinical licensure/practice).

Instructor Bio & Credentials: Dr. Tori Olds is a licensed psychologist with over 26 years of clinical experience specializing in trauma resolution, interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB), and therapeutic attunement.

For this program on Therapeutic Responsiveness, Dr. Olds integrates her deep understanding of affective neuroscience with the clinical imperative of cultural humility and attuned therapeutic presence. Over her 13 years of training mental health professionals globally, she has specialized in teaching practitioners how to track verbal and non-verbal cues to accurately gauge client readiness in real time.

Financial & Commercial Disclosures:

Dr. Olds receives a salary/compensation as a trainer for The Depth Institute. She has no other relevant financial, commercial, or non-financial conflicts of interest or commercial bias to disclose regarding this program.
