This 10-hour live interactive training provides psychologists with advanced clinical competencies in experiential and somatic psychotherapies by translating robust empirical findings from affective neuroscience, attachment research, and interpersonal neurobiology into applied clinical practice. The program’s empirical foundation rests firmly on well-documented mechanisms of therapeutic change—specifically, literature demonstrating the high correlation between deep emotional processing (e.g., measured via the Client Experiencing Scale) and positive treatment outcomes, as well as research validating the necessity of autonomic nervous system regulation for affective integration and trauma processing.

Target Audience: Licensed Psychologists, Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), and health service professionals in mental health.

Instructional Level: Intermediate to Advanced (Prerequisite: Master’s or Doctoral degree in a mental health field and active clinical licensure/practice).

Instructor Bio & Credentials: Dr. Tori Olds is a licensed psychologist with over 26 years of clinical experience specializing in trauma resolution, interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB), and experiential psychotherapy.

For this program on Ethical Trauma Treatment, Dr. Olds draws upon her extensive background in affective neuroscience and trauma-informed clinical care. Over her 13 years of training mental health professionals internationally, she has specialized in teaching practitioners how to safely navigate the deep emotional processing required in trauma therapy. Her expertise bridges empirical neurobiology with strict clinical ethics, ensuring therapists can facilitate profound, bottom-up change while maintaining rigorous clinical boundaries, mitigating iatrogenic risk, and safeguarding highly vulnerable client populations.

Financial & Commercial Disclosures:

Dr. Olds receives a salary/compensation  as a trainer for The Depth Institute. She has no other relevant financial, commercial, or non-financial conflicts of interest or commercial bias to disclose regarding this program.
