This advanced 2-hour seminar explores contemporary paradigms in affective neuroscience and their implications for attachment-based clinical practice. Drawing from Lisa Feldman Barrett’s Theory of Constructed Emotion and James Coan’s Social Baseline Theory, the course addresses how physiological resource management (allostasis) influences emotional presentation, attachment behaviors, and protective defenses. Participants will explore the clinical implications of moving from a reactive model of emotion to a predictive, resource-based framework.

Dr. Tori Olds is a licensed psychologist with over two decades of specialized focus in experiential psychotherapy, interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB), and affective neuroscience.

Over her 13 years of training mental health professionals globally, she has focused extensively on how physiological resource management (allostasis) and predictive processing impact human emotion and attachment. Asynchronous (On-Demand) Courses: Due to the immediate delivery of digital materials, refunds are not issued once a participant has logged into the course portal or streamed content. If a course is purchased in error and the learning platform has not been accessed, a full refund (minus a 5% administrative fee) may be requested within 14 days of purchase.
Live / Synchronous Virtual Events: Cancellations made by the participant in writing at least fourteen (14) days prior to the event start date will receive a full refund (minus a 5% administrative fee). Cancellations made less than fourteen (14) days prior are not eligible for a monetary refund, but the participant may apply their registration fee as a credit toward a future Depth Institute program. This credit must be redeemed within one (1) calendar year.
No-Shows: Participants who fail to attend a live event without prior written notice ("no-shows") are not eligible for a refund or course credit.
Institutional Cancellations: In the rare event that The Depth Institute must cancel or postpone a scheduled program due to instructor illness, technical outages, or unforeseen circumstances, all registered participants will be notified immediately in writing and issued a 100% full refund to their original method of payment.
